Required information
A valid DMCA notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or — if multiple works are covered by a single notice — a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material on this site (a direct URL is best).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Counter-notice
If material you posted has been removed in response to a DMCA notice, you may file a counter-notice that includes the elements set out in 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), sent to the same designated agent.
Repeat-infringer policy
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove or disable access to material claimed to be the subject of infringing activity, and we will terminate access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Misrepresentations
Under §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
